Tira do Cordel is an old salting factory, nestled in a privileged coastal environment, named after the beginning of activity in this place, the main door, wicket, had a curious mechanism by which it opened after pulling a rope. To the extent that many of those who came there did not find the way to cross the entrance, one of the owners, came up with the idea of writing in the same door a message that read "To enter, draw the cord." From there came its name, the one that has identified them since.
